Seven is a young man who cannot feel pain, growing up sheltered, with books as his only company. But as he becomes picky about his books, he starts to feel empty as nothing more feels satisfying. He tackles writing as a way to escape that, however, unhappy with his writing skills, he doesn't finish a single book. His frustration and despair reach a boiling point as an entity approaches him with an invitation to another world. Overcome by his limitations, he accepts the offer and is gifted with the ability to feel pain, at a price he has yet to discover.

Humans, though, are creatures that don't easily change, and his warped views of reality turn him into an unpredictable ally or foe in the game of death that is to follow. For the sake of translating his new experiences into a written masterpiece, he will spare nothing, not even himself.

***

This story is set in an apocalyptic world and I put some effort on unveiling how the world operates, the MC is full of doubts and formulates theories to make sense of what's going on and how to play around it, his ultimate purpose being a selfish one. It has some LitRPG elements, but it's not really the main point.

Every character I introduce has flaws. I don't like explaining their inner workings since, in my opinion, it is a disservice to readers to butcher their image of a character. But if you cannot understand a character's actions and it's breaking the image you have of them, I don't mind explaining.

If anyone feels invested enough in the plot to chat with me about the story, I tend to write more when I interact with people.

Got the cover from freeimages.com
