Second chances were rare—more often than not, it was a blessing. Leone was lucky in that aspect, depending on who you ask, as he had been reborn as Crown Prince Julien III the Prince of Corven a rather pitiful love interest from that visual novel / otome game he'd somehow played before. The visual novel was rather generic so it wasn't really something that he found memorable, although he did find the love rival / villainess rather interesting, she was someone who would be engaged to Prince Julien at some point.

Said villainess, Lady Valerie the daughter of the Duke of Darnum was actually his childhood friend from his past life, Alicia, someone he'd been separated with when he was young.

As they meet and resolve to themselves to make the most of their second chance and to never let the other go from then on, the world starts to act against them. They start to realize that there may perhaps be more to this second chance which they'd gotten—something that went against the natural order of the world revealing that there may perhaps be a dark force at work for them to be reborn here in the first place.
