In the province of Mizra on the island of Hvar, seventeen year old Emet tan Namai wakes up from a dreamless sleep. Unfortunately for him, he needs to have a dream to pass his initiation ceremony and become a man in the eyes of his people, the Yseri. But Emet never has dreams—well, not that he remembers anyway. His failure to dream will have dire consequences, not just for him, but for the entire island of Hvar.
A Demon at Rest is a dual POV progression fantasy. I already have the first book written and I have this plotted as a series of five books, each looking to be about 200,000 words. New chapters Tuesday and Thursday mornings!
