Set in a world of magic, this story consists of the journal entries of a student of the Arcane - given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to journey around far beyond their homeland, they aim to discover and catalogue the strange styles of magic the world has to offer. Their journal offers an insight into the world around them as a whole - capturing stories of places and people the likes of which they never could have imagined.

This story contains altogether too much self-indulgent fictional metaphysics (metamagics?) from a self-proclaimed 'scholar' who, unless they had been bitten by the travel bug, would never have ventured further than their comfy reading chair.
