The prophets of La'Teris had made it very clear that the three lasouris (mousefolk) adventurers had been chosen by Yggdra herself to set out on this most important mission; and now as Wedge Sarafan held the verdant, glowing root of iruwood before him, he finally knew the full meaning of their words. The sheer divinity of the object coursed through his being almost as if speaking to him, intensified by the very nature of his surroundings, he felt he was in the presence of the Ash Mother herself. The rainbow of glowing flowers all about the Schyfer Groves that seemed unspeakably vibrant only moments before, coupled with the ineffable presence of the two beautiful fairies fluttering before him, gazing with those intensely powerful eyes, all seemed miniscule by comparison to the iruwood's magical splendour. With the addition of the lasouris' vision for all things magical, it was nearly blinding. The fairy guardians' jubilant smiles suddenly shifted to sad frowns as Wedge stuffed the relic into his leafy haversack and looked up once more in awe of their majesty."The fate of Cadanfall rests within your hands, Wedge Sarafan. Your sacrifice will not go unrewarded," Sari stated matter of factly.

Somehow something about those words shook Wedge to his core, and before he could ask what they meant, the two fairies were shooing the three lasouris companions back whence they came with an urgency that couldn't be denied."Godspeed!" They chimed off in unison as the trio headed back into the tunnels below.

Making their way to the trade city of Timberfell seems a simple enough task at face value, though Wedge Sarafan can't shake the relic guardians' warning, that their sacrifice will not go unrewarded.
