In a world where all are born with a path to walk, after giving up so much to get it in the first place, Lan finds his path taken from him, along with the love of his life and what little of his soul was left. With nowhere to turn and with nothing to show for his sacrifice, Lan throws himself into the vital yet often frowned upon world of adventuring.
