What is the price of a smile?

Is it relationships?

Is it power?

Is it money?

For Alvain Keeper, an inn keeper living on top of a flying whale, it is the latter. Life is hard and boring, but money would change that. With enough wealth, one could buy protection from monsters. One could buy political power. One could buy the adoration of others. One could buy life itself.

But what then, was the price of a smile for a girl who had all that?

During unending summer days, a past is lost and a future is found.
