A great and mysterious asteroid the size of the moon, later renamed 'Star Light', Had set course for earth. It was predicted to destroy the planet on impact.

Those that were rich had all began leaving the planet all heading for mars.

But it did the unexpected and had actually hovered, just before touching the ground. It then exploded into a pulse of unidentified pure energy. The energy spread through out the entirety of the solar system.

This event had caused the evolution of all life in the solar system, sentient or otherwise and was known as the 'Great Pulse'.
