<p> What separates a Hero from a Villain? Some would say their intentions, others their actions. Malik Dawson, however, would say it depends on who is telling their story. </p> <p> From an outside perspective, his family would be seen as "Villains" in every possible regard. But his parents were no less than Heroes in his eyes. That was, until they were brutally cut down in front of him. Tragedy had struck, swift and vicious, but life had given him a second chance in the form of a retired superhero, who pulled him from the streets and gave him a new home, along with five others. </p> <p> Though none of them were particular interested in any form of Heroics, least of all after the way they were treated by the very people they now had to save, out of respect and gratitude to their patriarch, they honour his wishes, venturing out as a team to carry on his legacy. And for a long time this arrangement, while not particularly enjoyable, was at least mutually beneficial. </p> <p> Until one day, without warning, they are uprooted from their home in the middle of the night and shipped off to a brand new city. Answers are scarcely given and deeply unsatisfying when provided, and all the while the mystery of their intentions in this new town, and the superpowered beings within it, deepens every day. </p> <p> Corruption runs deep within the Heroes, Villains seem more interested in preserving lives than destroying them. What else is in store for Malik and the rest of his dysfunctional family in this inverted world? </p>
