A man without a name, without a purpose, supporting seemingly useless morals dies a lonely death on a small planet called Earth. To his surprise, the man wakes in the presence of a bright light, which introduces itself as the goddess of science and the creator of earth and all it's inhabitants. The goddess then informs him of the unwritten history of humans, and why he was selected to be born again on another world... one of magic and monsters. The only catch was that he could never use any kind of magic, being a creature of science, however, humans have suppressed potential that far surpasses any magic in any world, and the goddess decides to unleash this potential.

This is the revelation of a human without limits, a tale of the god-like being that was set loose in another world. This is a story about the man of Earth.

The observable universe is about 93 billion light years in diameter, filled with seemingly endless possibilities and ridiculously over-complicated intricacies. From supercells to electrons, whales to microorganisms, from solids to liquids to gasses to plasmas to anything conceivably possible with science, the universe can only be described, in one way or another, as very... very big. In this vast cosmos we call home, one might wonder what the most mysterious and complicated thing out there could be, and what it could possibly do to warrant such complexity.

Death. Some cultures view it as the enemy of life, while others consider it a release from the struggle of living. But what comes after? Some say it ends there, our existences futile and what we do on this insignificant speck we call a planet matters to no one other than ourselves. Some say a paradise awaits the righteous, while the evil are sentenced to an eternal damnation in the bowels of the worst place imaginable, but what do we really know?

Magic, sorcery, elves, demons, giants, things of legend, and others of myth, all dismissed as impossible falsehoods used in olden times to explain scientific phenomena. However... what is imposssible in this universe may be plausible in another, one where magic thrives in place of science, and where the forces of nature remain undisturbed.

The human brain. Emotion, thoughts, feelings, opinions, movement, senses, reactions, subconscious, conscious, dreams, learning, and many other things are accomplished using this tool nature provided humans. The most complicated thing in known universe rests embedded in each and every one of these "insignificant being's" heads, performing various tasks, many of which we have yet to understand.

What if humans can do more? What if minds aren't limited to brains? What if there is life after death? What about other universes? Gods? Monsters? Civilizations?

On earth, a man dies. It happens all the time, and is usually forgotten in moments by those disconnected from the actual death, but this man is different. After death, he gets to do what few others could ever hope to experience... he gets to wake up. Lilah, the Goddesss of Science is there to greet him as he wakes, and give him a second chance on another world, this time without the restraints she placed on humankind so many years ago.

He is the man of earth.

We, as humans, are beings that function solely on the concept of logic. Well, at least in the physical sense. This is a story about a boy, err... I suppose a man, depending on your perspective, who falls from such an unforgiving Earth and rises again in another.

This new world of magic is filled creatures we might only hear of in legends or fairy tales, a place where science and logic are more... default settings than a strict set of rules. Every creature born here is able to manipulate this mystic energy to varying degrees except, of course, of our reluctant hero.

However, the full potential of humans has long been withheld due to our voilent nature, but returned upon the unprecedented event of reincarnation. With so many unused sciences at his beck and call, how will this man of Earth survive? Then again, with such power localized into a single being, how might this world respond?

Magic is a terrifying force. Logic itself is subject to this energy, which is (logically speaking) impossible for us to comprehend.

Every universe requires some version of magic to exist. That is, all but one. Our world functiouns based on a powerful and intricate net of laws that act independently from magical interference. The most notable of these is the human brain, which is capable of even more than its creator had thought possible.

Naturally, this prompted the question: "How would a human fare in a world of magic?"

Soon, there was a bet.

Next, a human was selected.

Finally, an odd young man with a strange black hat was introduced to his new world, and all restraints were removed.
