Ellen certainly doesn't need the stranger at the cemetery to mention her father's name. No, she will ignore the ghosts and the pains from the past. All Ellen wants is to do her homework, eat some ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order).</p> <p>With unlikely accidents and unsolved mysteries stacking up, she can no longer escape the truth: her life is a lie. And when Ellen's best friend disappears, even that world of lies shatters in a million pieces.</p> <p>Now, Ellen is searching, for the father who broke her soul, the lover who broke her heart, and the friend that never was.</p> <p>---</p> <p>This is an ongoing serial, light-fantasy novel in short chapters. This is a 'young adult / new adult' work of fiction, which may contain (limited) graphic scenes, poor jokes, some romance, some violence, and lots of spelling errors. And snark. I need to mention the snark.</p> <p>(Someone told me the story reminded them of a kind of 'Buffy 20 years later'. I'm still not sure I should consider that a compliment, or hire a hitman :-))</p> <p>I'm posting one to two chapters every week (or at least try to). Please accept my apologies for the short chapters and irregular releases. Unfortunately, I am a slow and easily distracted writer with a job, and on top of that English isn't my native language (I'm Dutch). Keeping things 'byte-sized' helps me focus on specific events or concepts.</p> <p>I hope you enjoy the story, and love to see your comments!</p>
