Ok soooooo, I REALLY didn't expect to fall down this rabbit hole. To introduce myself: I used to write a whole bunch of Naruto, Hero Academia, Worm, Fate / Stay Night, and Dresden Files fanfiction on FF.net/AO3, and more or less quit about 5 years ago as my career took off. I'm not sure how many fics I abandoned then across two pen names, but the word count was definitely north of half a million A month ago, I stumbled face-first into the whole gamut of AI novel writing software suites that are coming out, and started playing around with them. One thing led to another, and I started feeding it prompts. Then, I discovered that I could train these things to retain background information, and I started drafting up giant worldbuilding design docs based on the worldbuilding ideas I loved the most about my favorite long-running fantasy series. It became an obsession, and at this point I've fed about 50,000 words of characters, magic systems, and factions into it. Then, I started punching in prompts based around the world I built, and well, I just didn't stop as it spit out idea after idea, scene after scene. The prose wasn't anything to really write home about, but the stories and ideas it started spitting out were freakishly creative, and great threads to build off of. This weekend, I kind of just started writing again for realsies. I started penning loose, third person scenes and ideas the AI spit out into First Person multi-POV drafts, and this was the result.
