<p>Having grown up in the shadow of Mount Silver, Angel is a Pokemon who has long dreamed of greatness. However, when his trainer abandons him, he decides that the only way he'll reach his goals is by doing it himself. With the help of some of his fellow Pokemon, he'll become a trainer and reach for that loftiest of goals: becoming a champion. Along the way, he'll discover a new danger haunting the Kanto region and join the fight against them. He doesn't know what he can accomplish, but he's going to find out just how far he can go. If nothing else, he's determined to beat his former master at his own game.</p> <p>* * * * * * *</p> <p>This story is a fairly light adventure focusing around a group of Pokemon going through a typical gym adventure, albeit with the giant asterisk that there isn't a human guiding them and the related complications. Besides concessions to the core concept, I don't intend to break from canon much; I might fill in certain gaps or add locations here or there, but I'll try not to change things too much. For the most part this canon will lean towards the games, though I'll borrow liberally from the show and, rarely, from the manga (i.e. Brock and Misty are gym leaders but will have similar personalities to the show). We'll begin three years after Ethan goes on his adventure.</p> <p>This is generally an "E for Everyone" tale, but there will be heavy moments and a recurring theme of abandonment. Between that and the necessary combat for a Pokemon story, I'll call this the mildest of PG ratings. I intend to update this weekly, aiming for Fridays, and it will be a fairly long-running story.
