In a world parallel to our own...

The ancient city-state of Forelia has been destroyed by their distant relatives, the religious fanatics hailing from the desert city-state of Kenan. The protagonist, Gideon, is a member of the Singing Blades, a mercenary band who participated in the Kennanite king's war of eradication against the Forelians. After the Singing Blades are themselves destroyed by foreign bandits on a routine patrol, Gideon is cast adrift in a world soaking with evil. He must find new purpose, and a way to resolve the existential questions that threaten to overwhelm him.

Can someone who has chosen to participate in terrible evil ever find true redemption? Is there any way for an evil man to transcend his past?

Please leave comments or reviews with criticism! I'm posting this explicitly for that purpose, so anything you have to say is very welcome.

Updates every Thursday. Maybe. Depends on if I think the chapter is ready.
