<p>Leonard was a biologist until he tripped up under the train to work, where he was killed almost instantly.</p> <p>But this isn't the end for him however, as he was given a second chance in a primitive world with strange life that defied almost everything he knew, along with the ability to shapeshift in order to survive given by a mysterious being.</p> <p>Rant/Explanation/Info Below</p> <p>The setting was heavily inspired by Avatar and the Monster Hunter franchise so you might see many parallels between those and this story.</p> <p>There are going to be equivalents to humans but Leonard isn't going to go "Oh hur dur I'm going to go live wit da forest people and ignore this amazing ability I have" so this story is going to be mostly written in the POV of someone without a humanoid body and separate from any intelligent life (For the most part). Expect to see a lot of non traditional combat and action IE; lots of claws, biting, tail slams, etc. So don't go in expecting lots of swords, magic, and bows.</p> <p>On the topic of magic, I am not going to include a lot (if any) of it. I am not a biologist of any sort but most of the crazy animal and plant doohickey is going to at least try to be explained instead of waving a hand and saying "Cuz' magic brah"</p> <p>The MC is mostly going to try and fit in with the wildlife without just straight up copying whatever he see's, so expect a lot of fun in the "Shifting" part of shapeshifting.</p> <p>(also all chapters after chapter 1 will be at least 3k words)</p>
