Prince is a Japanese styled light novel based on Machiavelis classic "The Prince". It is heavily influenced by Machiavelli, but the story, characters, themes, and quotes are entirely original, it is mostly the concept of good and evil that is borrowed.

Prince de Bourbon was the 33rd prince of the royal Bourbon Kingdom of France. A family known for its benevolence, peace, and good faith, the Bourbon family was loved throughout the land. Prince, was just as kind and warm hearted as his parents, but after a tragic accident changes his life, he inherits the soul of his Ancestor, a cruel tyrant, and sets out on a path of revenge.

Now a homeless peasant, Prince vows to climb back to the top using the power of his ancestor that grants him a magic that controls darkness. But as his power grows, his hold on his soul begins to slip, and his evil ancestor begins to take hold off his body.

Split between good, evil and his own selfishness, Prince struggles to maintain a balance as he ascends to the throne. As he kills, betrays, and romances his way to the top, he falls asleep every night with the same question.

"To defeat this cruel and dark world… How much crueler and darker...Must I become!"

A rough draft for a very rough story. This is based on 17th century France with not nearly as much accuracy as a historical novel would have.

As far as the gore, graphic and sexual tags go. The majority of the story isn't an endless array of inhumane suffering, nor a never ending erotica. I would say that accounts for about 10% of it. However when these events do happen I didn't want to sensor them. There is much more drama and tension then there is sex and blood.
