<p>The world is not a benevolent place, it never was, and never will be, be it the harsh embrace of mother nature, the primal brutality of beasts, or the cunning and malice of the thinking, there is all but one truth, only the powerful shall thrive, all others are stepping stones or nourishment.</p> <p>In a world where magic runs amok, death lies on every turn and choice, and beasts powerful beyond measure claim the wilderness for their own, Man is one of many species fighting for survival, building their countries and waging war against the wilds, carving a path for themselves in this world through cunning and bloodshed; but humanity is not alone for there are those who share the same path.</p> <p>Allies, Enemies, Xenos all with the same goal, to survive and thrive, but where the thinking set foot there is greed and envy, for equality is imaginary and taking is a right of the strong.</p> <p>In Village on the borders of humanity's domain over the wilds, a Girl with mixed blood made orphan by the scars of conflict, denied the status of human by her heritage loses herself in the wilds and an encounter changes her fate forever; can the bonds of family and friendship she found in this cold cruel world hold back the weight of what she became?</p> <p>Hello, this is my first novel, so I apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes/weirdly worded sentences, as English is not my first language, and although I think myself picky with the stuff I write, I know a few mistakes will bleed through eventually.</p> <p>This novel has been sitting on the back of my mind for a little while, it's not the first I tried to write, but will be the first I bother to share with someone, and actually go through with the concept, so any feedback, criticisms, or ideas are very much appreciated; even though I know where I want to take this story and some of the key plot points I want to achieve, I fully expect to change/rewrite it as I regulate and get comfortable with writing and the tone I want to give the story.</p> <p>The story accompanies the adventures of Cayleth, a half-elf girl (although she's not going to stay that way forever, no spoilers though), and her companions that will be introduced later in the story; yes it is a fantasy world, but no reincarnators, no game elements, and no OP mc just dick waving his way through the story.</p> <p>As for chapter themselves, I'd say I'm able to commit to 1, or 2 2000 to 3000 words chapters a week, maybe more depending on how the story is received and how much time I have; I'm keeping a backlog of about 3 chapters ahead and I plan to stick to that, I'd build more before posting but I want some feedback first in case I messed up badly and these first chapters are no bueno.</p> <p>Thank for considering reading my story =D</p>
