King's College has a reputation.

To Leo, the sharp but cynical rebel, it is a place where the people he cares about are sentenced to a fate worse than death—to live the rest of their days on the surface of a dying Earth.

To Morgan, the bright and strict overachiever, it is a vault in which she may find her dreams. What is this?

- Low stakes high-school drama

- Set in utopia / dystopia during a post-apocalyptic Earth

- Students versus systems

- Character focused

- Heaps of worldbuilding

- No fantasy or gaming elements

Er, this is weird. What gives?

It is! Shadow under Plato is a long, sprawling book that focuses on six students as they navigate school life in a post-apocalyptic world.

There are six points of view which bounce around often. The current narrator will be listed at the top of the page or at the start of the section.

Expect poetry, unreliable narrators, streams of consciousness, a classroom full of metaphors.

I take my time to flesh out the characters, world, and various conflicts. Politics, culture, and philosophical quandaries are heavily explored.

However, I never let it get too slow. There's always a new development and something more to learn. The characters are growing and changing in every chapter.

Update Schedule

Updates every Monday.

I'll be working on this story for a long time. However, I'm not working on this exclusively. I have another book in the works.

Keep an eye out for Demon's Don't Lie, which I'll be serialising alongside Shadow under Plato very soon!
