<p> What makes someone a god? Is a god simply something that is worshiped, or is it a being with unimaginable powers? Both? Neither? Well, they at least have to be immortal, right? Well, here is a better question. What makes someone a mortal? </p> <p> One day, ten thousand people were stolen from their homes, and made to play a game. A game of Kings and Queens, Gods and Goddesses, in an endless battle to achieve 'Ascension'. If that even means anything. In reality, this is a story about flawed, scared people, thrust into positions of ultimate power, making choices with consequences that they were in no way prepared to handle. Power corrupts, after all. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. </p>
