<p> More than 700 years ago an Italian philosopher penned a rather lengthy trilogy of novels of what, it was surmised at the time, would rationally become of him after death depending upon how things shook out. That author dubbed this collected body "Comedy" (though apparently one of his friends surreptitiously renamed it for him lest he get inadvertently excommunicated) and it has since become one of the most well regarded works of literature ever written. This work is essentially the same, in at least so much as it is intended as a comedic take on a rationalization for an afterlife. As for the "well regarded" thing, frankly I'll be happy if it's not regarded as among the worst. I'm not letting anyone futz with the title though, if I get excommunicated so be it. </p> <p> Fair warning about the tags: they all make sense in context but few are wholly accurate. Except the satire and profanity, those are totally legit and go hand-in-hand. This is a parody specifically about the afterlife. It's not intended as some "atheist screed" and I'm in fact going to go out of my way to make things as accurate to mythology (ALL mythology) as I can make them, but obviously I'm gonna be on shaky ground if your religion forbids joking about this kind of stuff. </p>
