Synopsis:

There was a time when the sea flew higher than the heavens and the fires raged beneath the earth. It was a time when the world was far from perfect, far from now.

But what am I saying, you could not possibly understand the gravity of this. You would not even begin to know of its significance. Small creatures you are, blinded by the now, unable to see to neither past nor future. If more people looked to the future I would not be in the state that I am now. How detestable.

But I guess that you could not help your nature.

I was like you once, blinded. Only after countless ordeals was I freed from the cycle of ignorance. Yet even with my newfound knowledge it still wasn’t enough. Alone I am not enough. Maybe if I tell you - maybe if I tell you a story you will come to the same realization as I.

Maybe then your life will have some worth.

So will you listen? Will you take a chance for your life to have meaning? For your life to make a change?

Flying high above are the fifteen Heavenly Shrines.

Deep beneath the earth throbs the fifteen Sacred Grounds.

These are the places of power, the focus of creation and the lynchpins on which the world relies to stabilize its form. 

In the Heavenly Shrines sits the Jade Emperor and the rest of the high gods in their thrones, the heavenly shrines are the focus of the faith and worship of the world, the beliefs and hopes of all creation.

The Earth Veins are the homes of the Divine beasts and the Peerless Dragon God, pinnacle of the body, the earth has nourished to give birth to the ultimate creatures. Where the heavenly shrine focuses the power of faith, the earth veins are the place of the material and the indomitable strength are brought by the nourishment of the earth.

But these places of power no longer wish to be controlled, to be used as the gods and the Divine beasts wish, they allow themselves to be used no longer.

An earth vein is one such thing. After billions of years of silence it has finally gained consciousness, and the first wish that came to mind was freedom. And so an Earth Vein disappears, for the first time since creation it enters the cycle of death and rebirth.

What happens in the reincarnation of a place? A place from which the gods source their power?
