The Kingdoms were built at the edges of ancient concrete jungles, for fear of beasts borne of steel and starlight. The Zodiac determines the open paths at birth, and hierarchy guards the way. Nikolai Kalator was unfortunately born of the wrong sign, into the life of a servant. Worse still some broken fragment deep within burns with anger and vitriol, though for that very reason he may be one of the few to see the writings on the wall.

Somewhere far away, deep within those enigmatic ruins lies the key to the end- and maybe, salvation.

Author's note: Writing for fun, though I definitely want to improve. So any feedback/constructive criticism would be highly appreciated. I'll try to get out at least 1,000 words every Sunday.

P.S Not really sure how far I have to go for those content warnings to apply, so I'm going to put those two up anyways so I don't feel the need to limit myself too much, though I don't plan on overdoing it.
