A major accident results in an increased rate of global warming for Earth. Shortly, the last glaciers melt of and the ares near the equator become inhabitable by normal means.

Soon after the extincion of Earth's glaciers, the Earth's Council forbids anyone from coming near the North Pole.

This event is quickly followed by reports of military sightings at the borders of the closed zone.

After half a year of silence the EC's members all leave earth and procede to rule over it from distance for reasons at that time unknown. Shortly later, it was found out that the reason behind their escape is the virus originating from the quarantine zone – North Pole.

The virus – NPMIV- otherwise known as a Glacial virus started quickly spreading, from man to man, from bird to bird and so on and so forth.

Within the first year since it's official discovery, almost half the planet was rid of an unmutated life. For the next 3 years there was no contact from the northern semisphere and even the expedition teams failed to return.

The 4th year since the north has fallen was the year the humanity's reign over the planet has ended.

D-Day happened 4th May, Solar year 632.

Earth's total humans fell to mere 5 milions from 10 bilions it was 5 years ago.
