Franklin Freeman is a 17-year-old thespian, a part-time alcoholic, and a full-time New Yorker.

And in his arrogance, he rebels against his abusive father, the Greatest Hero, and is cast into the bowels of a hellish prison-city called the Bin.

Here, murder is frequent.

Food is scarce.

Convicts are enslaved to mine Devil Stones.

And the heroes-in-training use you as target practice... or worse.

To survive, Franklin falls in league with the only villainous group that seems the sanest, a ragtag bunch of magical misfits as old as him or younger.

Time is not on his side because a terrible fate awaits any magical villain who turns 18 in the Bin, and Franklin's birthday isn't far away. To survive and seek vengeance on his father, Franklin must lead his raggedy band of magical outcasts and spark a revolution that overturns the prison city and the powers that seek their eternal incarceration.

He must rise as the Villain King.

Or Franklin will see himself vanquished just like all the antagonistic roles he had played while on stage.
