Wan Delan, A young collage graduate, working as a detective for Shanghai police, unknowing of his brothers hatred towards him as the days pass by and he gets closer to enheriting everything that the Wan family has.

Xiao Mei, a stoic girl in her late twenties, fills in for her brother who is the head of Delan's department, Mei focused most of her time before reading horror, crime and mystery novels, while her brother whole heartedly hates them.

At four different times, nine cases appear in both beijing and Shanghai, and Delan thinks that they are all connected.
