The Silverflight Society is a fantasy webserial about (not) shooting the messenger.

Luna Lamerlin would prefer not to be shot, if at all possible. She would, in particular, prefer not to be shot thousands of miles from home, in a distant corner of the world, far from family, friends, and anyone who knows about her.

So she became a messenger.

Not an ideal choice of career, but then Luna didn't really have much of a choice to begin with. Not when the alternative was becoming a conscript leased out to a mercenary company, fighting in distant, foreign princedoms. A no-brainer, really.

But when the mercenaries are keen on fighting back—when they rouse a divine voice that has lain dormant for centuries—when the fading spirit of magic itself regains her strength, and mortals fight to use her for good or evil—Luna finds herself caught in the middle of the mess.

Plus, messengers carry messages—it's in the name. They bring new ideas from place to place. They travel far.

Maybe even far enough to find themselves thousands of miles from home, in a distant corner of the world.
