In a world where anyone can gain Magic by spending a fortune, the gap between the rich and the poor has widened to the point of non-Mages being deemed disposable drones whereas Mages are celebrated. Most are content to leave the slums and live among the swells when they get the chance but Adrian won't settle for just that. He seeks to rip apart this corrupt system and build a new empire from its ashes.

All while he struggles to come to terms with the Mana that slowly but surely corrupts him, turning him into the very thing he hated most: a juvenile and spoiled Mage.
