Most people in this world never use magic. They languish under the rule of those above them. However, those few who use magic cultivate their power to become stronger than the others around them, each for a different reason. There are corrupt rulers and kind do-gooders in this world. Liv has her own goal. Follow the path of power her parents went on, so that she can help others and prevent the injustices she saw on the streets.
