In an alternate future where the Apocalypse of 2012 came and went, only two factions remain within the scorched United States: the Skeleton Crew and the Burning Saints - the former a military superpower intent on maintaining some semblance of order in a hostile and poisoned world, the latter a sadomasochistic cult of hedonists who revel in this new pandemonium. Amidst the chaos and civil unrest, scavengers and pirates of every variety ply their trade on the outskirts of society; struggling not only to survive each other but to endure the risk to succumbing to the corrupted pollutants in the atmosphere.
