It's ironic that the end of humanity came not from the Tourney, nor the monsters that inhabit it, but from the ambitions of humanity itself.

Decades after the whole of humanity was transported to another world, forced to face trial after trial in an universal tournament, and shortly after the apex of the human race came together to finally free the species, it was all turned to dust due to petty disagreements between the most powerful.

Spectating this destruction, was an old man, forgotten by all participants in this useless war for control of what was left of humanity. He simply waited for the end, a smirk on his face knowing that the story was nowhere near over.
