The age of gods is long over.

The last age of empires is only a footnote in history books. But thanks to the church of Djehuti, branch of the Praeterism, the world currently walks the way of the sword and Eldertech, of "enlightened sanctity". Which has earned it not only having presence in most civilzed realms and some great powers as well as the an almost complete monopoly over any newly unearthed technology, but also the fundation of the most ancient, most culturally and technologically advanced nation in the world. And yet, the world seems to be actually controlled by warriors guilds and secret societies who use war as a business to further their own agendas.
