His life has stretched for what nears a thousand years in utter defiance of the gods themselves, and it seems that after so long of battling eternally insurmountable forces of good, he's decided to take the next logical step: just leaving. Naturally, nothing can be so simple. A sabotaged ritual and last minute intervention by some malicious adventuring scoundrels can ruin even a lich's day, and the portal meant to take 'Thexas to the skull-laden Deadlands dimension ends up instead bringing him to the bleak, Aug-dominated city of Polis- a different universe entirely.
