Description: [edit] [history]

Fate, Eternity, Space, Time, Life, Death - On the flat world of Arret where stars rise in the west and the moon never sets, there exists a 'Concept' for every idea conceived, and these Concepts are masked, immortal magicians embodying the very idea they are named after.

-

In the far south of the world, a hooded traveller in search of 'War' accidentally stumbles onto an underground palace perfectly preserved in salt and alabaster. As the fourth strongest Concept in the world herself, she ventures forward into the underground palace, driven half by curiosity and the other half by her principles to never leave a potential threat to Arret alone without first investigating it.

Within the palace she finds a statue of a little boy, seated atop a lonely throne of ice, and absolutely nothing else of note.

But then the statue awakens in her presence, bearing the visage of a cold spirit.

"... 'Tis a brilliant day for a brilliant meeting by the vagaries of fate!" the boy says, bells of calamity chiming in his wake. "My name is Absolute - Arret's strongest Concept. For what reason have I been raised from my sweet slumber?"

What you can expect:

A powerful yet mysterious protagonist, whose story is seen through multiple characters' point of view as they meet and interact with him.

A massive fantasy world explored through lots of travelling. Lots of travelling. Characters move from new place to new place very often between arcs, making this story a traditional epic-fantasy adventure with lots of expansive worldbuilding and intricate lore.

A story complete with character and landscape illustrations, all machine made and further drawn upon by me.

Connections between characters and events from this story with those from 'World Concept - Heart' and 'World Concept - Infinite', as all three fictions take place in the same world. It is not necessary to read all three to understand what happens in one, however. Each story stands perfectly fine on its own.

If you like long epic-fantasy stories with both the journey and the destination, 'World Concept - Absolute' might just be the right story for you.
