Thousands of years after the Conflagration, the collapse of the original colony on the moon of Promise, Fahon joins the Argent Knights, a legendary group of warriors who led the moon out of the dark ages. Called Bonded, the Knights use ancient Casters passed down through the generations.

With his heroic grandfather's former Caster, Fahon acquires the superpowers of Phasematter and joins a tournament to prove his worth. A treacherous enemy lurks around the corner, and a sinister Syndicate hunts his cousin Arik. The young warrior must learn to master his nascent abilities or see the moon dissolve into the chaos of war once again.
