Vayra is a street urchin without a coin to her name, but she is determined to make something of her life. Every day, she scrounges for scraps, hoping to escape the lot she was born with.
She is chosen to be the Mediator, a mortal avatar for a God. Her quest: to save her little brother from a deadly poison. Her duty: to defeat the God of the Sea and restore balance between the mortal and immortal realms. But Vayra is the avatar of the weakest member of the pantheon, and she isn't ready for the enormous task ahead of her.
She must train, earn, and fight for every inch of progress she makes. If she can't master her power in time, she will lose her brother forever—if the universe isn't destroyed first.
