In a world where those with superpowers make the rules, Jay is one of the newest additions to their ranks. A deliberate act puts him at odds with one of the strongest heroes of the city and he's forced to take refuge with a villainous gang. The longer he stays in their company, the more their beliefs and actions begin to make sense.

As Jay struggles to reconcile his newfound power with his sense of right and wrong, he finds himself drawn deeper into the underworld of New Seattle. Danger and betrayal lurk around every corner. Can he maintain his humanity in the face of such darkness, or will he succumb to the very monster within?
