The year is 1915. William John King Jr. is 23 years old and looking for a way to distinguish himself from his wealthy parents. He follows his cousin's advice to invest in a friend's silent film studio… until he receives a telephone call from an unknown voice insisting he give them $10,000, or else they'll inform the public about a previous relationship William had with a man. When 8 other people at the film studio find out about the blackmail problem, they unite to try to fix it, but the matter is complicated by the new information that the blackmailer has an 'inside man' at the studio. Drama ensues!
