Destiny strikes like lightning for Ryu Kobayashi. After years of ordinary office work leaves him unfulfilled, Ryu is transported to the mystical world of Wulin and gifted incredible powers of lightning.

Chosen as a champion by the enigmatic Thunder God, Ryu awakens alone in Wulin with the divine mandate to become the savior of this land reminiscent of ancient China. Ryu must master control over lightning itself to defend villages from demons and defeat the chaos-spreading Demon King, Vagnor.
