Beneath the sky of worms, Insect Gods rule the subterranean world of Brightlyre.

From above the cloud of artificial stars, a little centipede is born wriggling and screeching inside a giant egg. He is restless, full of energy, yearning for desire, when suddenly a voice whispers to him his purpose in life: to become the strongest Insect God in the world.

Given his mission, the little centipede is sent down unto Brightlyre to evolve. To conquer the world. For with no eyes to see, no ears to hear, no tongue to taste, and no nose to smell – he, too, has no mind to fear.

… Brightlyre will see its final champion devour the world.

What to expect:

A constantly growing and strengthening protagonist with the abilities of a centipede. Weak to strong, strong to super strong.

A massive insect-based fantasy world explored through lots of travelling, inspired by Arabic/Spanish/Chinese/Celtic cultures. This is a travel-heavy story. Characters move from place to place between arcs, making for a story with lots of character and landscape illustrations, all AI-made and then edited by me.

A shared world with 'The Moth of Brightlyre' and 'The Worm of Brightlyre'. It isn't necessary to read all three to understand what happens in one, however. There is no read order. Each story can be read completely standalone and you won't miss out on anything.

If you like ultra-long fantasy epics with heavy adventure and mystery elements, 'The Centipede of Brightlyre' might just be the right story for you.
