This is an adventure story inspired somewhat by works of "Xianxia" fiction, but starring an inherently magical creature instead of a magically-empowered human. Lost and alone, a wandering spirit formed into a mysterious new body slowly finds ways to evolve itself, and maybe even change the whole world around it as well.
