Bored senseless while heading to yet another family wedding, wisecracking spacefarer (and grumpy old man) Bodhi Drezek decides to grab one quiet, low-key beer with his sentient rabbit pal. What could possibly go wrong?

Just about everything, as it turns out—including waking up with a nasty hangover inside a fantasy-themed pocket universe engineered by war criminals. A pocket universe designed as a cruel "game," no less, in which the wealthy and powerful prey upon innocent natives to sate their appetites for lust and bloodshed. That's bad enough, but even worse is Bodhi's realization that the game stopped running a long, long time ago, destroyed in a mysterious apocalypse so horrific it continues to twist the minds of survivors...

Enter, ye who dare, the realm of MindQuest—a broken land of tormented gods, fungal goddesses, sociopathic shapeshifters who are strangely attractive, and lots of DLC nobody is rich enough to afford. To have any hope of surviving this defunct nightmare and finding the Exit Portal, Bodhi and his unlikely party will need to bleed every last drop of EXP out of the deformed beasts and madness-stricken "Players" fighting to maintain dominance over all-too-real "NPCs."
